1st image: Dark. The table and avocado seem to merge and in turn makes it hard to see. the only thing that makes it stand out from the table is the light reflecting off the skin. (Hope you're not using the flash...)
2nd image: once again, the image is dark. The Onion stands out more than the lettuce, celery, and carrots. Balance out your veggies to where the whites and black are helping each other and create a more interesting image.
Avocado: There aren't really any tone definitions in it. You could've chosen a better subject. It blends too much with the table, thus obscuring the image :(
Celery, Lettuce (?) Carrot, and Onion: This photo could've been better than what it looks. The photo is out of focus, bring your eye to the only thing in focus: the lower right corner of the Onion. I believe that the exposure could be a lot higher. There is delineation between the Lettuce....it actually looks like crumpled up paper. You can do better Sid, I know you can :)
